A place for folks to provide information as to what is going on in biking in WV. This information will be used to respond to the League of American Bicyclists survey due March 2009. This survey is used to rank states. The League of American Bicyclists announced their first annual ranking of Bicycle Friendly States, scoring all 50 states on more than 70 factors. WV came in last. We think it is a lack of information. Help us gather information. Thank you!

The West Virginia Mountain Bike Association has been actively promoting Mountain Biking in the state since at least 1987. Patricia Clay has been hosting her "Tire on the Mountain" mountain bike rides for at least 2 years. So to my knowledge there is no Government involvement, but lot's of resident involvement.
